Once again, Fashion Week in New York City came and went. I can only speak for myself. But, as a photojournalist, it was no easy task navigating through Fashion Week and everything that comes with it.One thing I noticed, is that there are a lot more people with point-and-shoot digital cameras calling themselves photojournalists. I can remember waiting for the opportunity to get a photo of Justin Timberlake and the designers of William Rast. I and some of the top photographers in New York, had to wait for people with point-and-shoot cameras and numerous people with digital audio recorders to take pictures and conduct interviews that seemed never ending, one after the other.
So, the magazines who rely on the top photographers certainly had less than stellar photos to choose from this time around.
